ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Welcome to the Fairmont Southampton.  The Club registration area is located in the Poinciana Foyer on the lobby level of the hotel.  Early registration will be available on Tuesday from about 4:30 until 5:45 p.m.  We will have name badges at the Welcome Reception (Great Sound Lawn) if you prefer to pick up your meeting materials on Wednesday morning.

Local Information

  • Ground Transportation
    • Uber has not made it to Bermuda yet, but HITCH offers a mobile app that helps you to call a local taxi using GPS and Uber-like technology
    • Getting around Bermuda by taxi - basic information and fare information
    • Bermuda Ferry Service to/from Hamilton.  Please note that fares on the Bermuda ferries are cash.
      • GUESTS AT THE FAIRMONT CAN RIDE THE FERRY FROM THE HOTEL'S WATERLOT DOCK TO HAMILTON FOR FREE.  We are told it's basically on the "honor system."  No tickets or vouchers are required.

      • The Green Route connects Hamilton to Southampton Parish (near the Fairmont Hotel)
  • Bermuda Holiday
    • August 1st is Emancipation Day, is a major national holiday in Bermuda
    • The Bermuda Cup cricket match is one of Bermuda's biggest events of the year, taking place over two days (August 1-2) at St. George’s Cricket Club.
  • Festivals and Events
    • Harbour Nights is the place to be on Wednesday nights – come and celebrate all that Bermuda has to offer right on Front Street as the sun sets on Hamilton Harbour.  Front Street, 7 - 10 p.m.
