A quick note about public health issues
Even though the Covid pandemic has been waning in many parts of the country in recent months, we want to be sure everyone feels safe at the meeting. It is perfectly acceptable to wear a mask at the meeting and anywhere around the hotel, indoors or outdoors. (Please note the updated CDC guidelines for vaccinated individuals.) If you are comfortable without a mask, shaking hands, fist bumping, hugging, etc., go for it, but be aware that not everyone will be comfortable with exposed faces or with close contact.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
(Posted pre-meeting) Welcome to the Salishan Coastal Lodge! The Club registration area is located in the Terrace Room just across from the Long House Ballroom. Early registration will be available on Tuesday from about 4:30 until 5:45 p.m. Also, we will have name badges at the Welcome Reception (Terrace Room and Patio). Feel free to pick up name badges when you arrive for the Welcome Reception If you don't hit "early registration" on Tuesday afternoon, you can pick up your meeting materials on Wednesday morning.
We'll be using drink tickets at Club receptions/events where bar service is provided. Tickets will be handed out upon your arrival at each event. If you are really thirsty, you can charge additional beverages to your room after your tickets have been completely used
If you are doing the Aerial Park on Wednesday, be sure to complete the online waiver form. Stop by the AESC registration desk and scan the QR code to access the form.
Whale Watchers on Friday . . . To get to the dock, take Hwy 101 south to Depoe Bay. At the stop light in town, turn left. There's a green highway sign pointing to the Coast Guard station, and a yellow and red sign on a building on the east side of the highway pointing to "Dockside Charters." Follow the road down the hill (there are some more Dockside Charters signs along the way) until you get to the docks. Park anywhere along the way... and gather in front of the Dockside Charters office.
NEW . . . Axe throwing is now set up in Parking Lot #3 (the "lower" lot near the main entrance drive and the access to the main lodge -- from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Stop by for snacks, soft drinks and axes!

Rob Beardsley's Suggestions for outside activities
Cascade Head Hike - a bit north of Lincoln City, goes up a long way but beautiful views
Drift Creek Falls Hike - awesome waterfall and bridges hike a few minutes from Salishan
Newport OR - lighthouse, aquarium, seal lions on the docks, Rogue Brewery. Pretty cool town
Bandon Dunes - Mecca for Oregon Coast golf. It’s a ways, 3 hours south, and you best already have your tee time
Pacific City - cool spot 45 minutes north, dory boats, huge sand dunes, Cape Kiwanda, rocks offshore, sweet brewery on the beach
Tillamook OR - 1 hour north, cheese factory and jerky. Pretty town, smells vaguely of cow
Depoe Bay OR - 10 minutes south, crazy cliffs with tiny harbor and resident whale pod in the bay
Cape Perpetua/Yachats OR - 1 hour south, dramatic cliffs and tiny little art town.
Salishan Spit - a long beach walk (or short depending on if you drive), but sea lions inhabit the tip by the bay entrance. Crazy beach houses.
McMinnville and Yamhill - most of you will drive through here from PDX to Salishan. Home of best Oregon Pinot Noirs and a killer airplane museum/waterpark (look for the 747!)
