AESC Activity - Ziptrek Information


Zipline Adventurers . . .  Here are a few useful details as you prepare for your excursion with the Ziptrek outfitter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Make note of the specific zip tour you are assigned to.  CLICK HERE to view the lists.
  • If you have not completed the mandatory waiver, please do so ASAP!  Check at the AESC registration table for a link to the waiver form.
  • The outfitter recommends that you check in at the Ziptrek Tent about 20 minutes before your scheduled tour.
  • Ziptrek is located next to the Excalibur Gondola across from the Pan Pacific Hotel in Whistler Village.  Here's a Google map to walk, about 10-12 minutes.
  • FAQs -- What to bring
    • Guests should be prepared for light physical exertion - the tour includes several flights of stairs and some hiking.
    • Wear comfortable, supportive athletic or hiking shoes. No open toed shoes allowed, thus sandals and dress shoes are not permitted.
    • Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. The weather at the tour area is similar to Whistler Village.
    • No bags, purses or backpacks are allowed. Limited storage is available to store very small personal belongings.
    • Secure all loose items (keys, cameras, change, etc.) in a sealed pocket. Small still and video cameras are allowed if you can secure them in a pocket. Professional cameras and equipment may be brought with prior permission (only as they can pose a security risk).
    • Please avoid wearing insect repellent containing DEET.
    • Tours run rain or shine.
