When you visit the online reservations system, you may be presented with several different types of "Run of the House" rooms. The letter designations are internal to the hotel, although you will see the maximum number each room can accommodate. For example, a room that can accommodate two guests is a King bed and four guests would be two queen beds. If you wish to request a particular view, add that in the comments section when you complete your reservation.
Members who require connecting rooms, we recommend that you call the hotel directly at 441-238-8000 to assure your requirements are met.

The following group rates are available during the dates of our conference. This pricing also is available three days before and after the conference on a space-available basis.
"Run of the House" guestrooms -- $339.00 (see note below)
Through a partnership with the Bermuda Tourism Authority, we have negotiated a special extra discounted rate of $339 per night for the first 300 room nights sold to AESC guests. Once this target is reached, the rate reverts to the regular group rate of $369 per night which is still a substantial discount from the "rack rate"

View the various room types available in the hotel
The Club has negotiated a special Resort Levy of $15 per day per room which will be added. Normally, this is $15 per person per day.
Room rates are subject to 11.75% tax
A third/fourth adult sharing is an additional $30 per person/per night (plus daily gratuities)
There is an additional mandatory gratuity (per person, per day) distributed to porterage and housekeeping.

The cutoff for AESC group reservations is Sunday, June 30, 2019.
Guests can change or cancel reservations at any time up to 72 hours before arrival. After that, penalties may apply.
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Requests for late check-out should be directed to the Front Desk of the hotel once you are registered. Should it be possible to extend a late check-out, a late departure charge may be applied.

The AESC has reserved rooms at the Fairmont Southampton for your benefit. Reserve your accommodations early for the best chance of getting your first choice, as the number of rooms held is limited and, of course, the hotel certainly could sell-out all of their rooms at any time. By making housing reservations within the AESC room block at the Fairmont, you receive a substantial discount on the price of your accommodations
As is true for all groups who negotiate special discounted pricing for conference attendees, the American Eye Study Club has signed a contract with the Fairmont that "guarantees" a certain number of hotel rooms will be booked during the dates of our meeting. If we do not achieve a minimum number of overnight accommodations, the Club faces huge financial penalties for unused sleeping rooms. This potentially can cost all members. By staying at the Fairmont instead of other off-property accommodations, you are helping the Club to meet its obligations and you experience the camaraderie that is a significant part of being a member of the American Eye Study Club!
